D-008 Does pricetype default to 2, Second Price Plus, though 0, Dynamic, defers to the bid request's auction type?
What the schemas do
Yes: pricetype absent is 2, Second Price Plus, as the Type cell writes it.
Options
Why
The Type cell states default 2, and nothing in the text contradicts it, so the schema keeps it. A deal that leaves pricetype out is a second-price deal, even where the bid request says first price; the feedback asks whether that is meant, since 0 would defer to the request. How each code meets a bid request's at is a bridge between the deal and the bid request, which the deal's own schema doesn't state: no sentence of the text is a rule a deal payload alone can be checked against, so the schema states none, and the bridge belongs to the map from deal to bid request.
What we ask the specification to state
Say whether the default 2, Second Price Plus, is meant. A deal that leaves pricetype out then overrides the bid request's auction type, which 0, Dynamic, would follow.
